The NCDSA provides critical support and programs, up-to-date information, and opportunities to connect with other families. NCDSA offers all new parents of children with Down syndrome a welcome baby bag that includes books, a new parent packet of information, a newborn onesie, a baby blanket, and other goodies. Two talented Rocky Top Chefs will go head to head in a Knife Fight at Rocky Top Catering's headquarters on Departure Drive in Raleigh, NC. You and your guests will select up to 10 secret ingredients for the two competing chefs to cook with. They will have one hour to start producing delicious dishes for you and ten of your closest friends to enjoy. The chefs must produce a minimum of 3 dishes utilizing all of the secret ingredients. NCDSA's Pilot program the After School Academy (ASA) provides weekly 1.5-hour classes supporting growth in academics, communication, and social skills. Staffed with credentialed teachers supported by interns and volunteers, ASA is for students in 3rd through 6th grade and ASA II is for students in 9th grade through post high school transition.
