TABLE HOST TOOL KIT
What is a table host?
Table hosts are IslandWood ambassadors! They help spread the word about the event, invite friends and family to take part, and inspire guests to support IslandWood's environmental education programming. You can share your passion for IslandWood's mission in one of three ways: invite guests to join you at a table on Bainbridge Island or Woodinville, host guests in your home for a party and watch the broadcasted program, or invite them to join you virtually online. As a thank you for being a host, we will deliver a special party gift to your home the week prior to the event.
What are the expectations of a table host?
Register as a table host for Dinner in the Woods by clicking Here. Then select from our menu of tickets and/or items for purchase. On the next page, you may enter guest information if applicable and indicate your group (table) name. Tables on Bainbridge Island have seats for either eight or ten guests. Tables at Woodinville can host eight guests each. If you are coordinating a table and guests are purchasing their own tickets, please indicate a table/group name when making your reservation. If you need assistance with your registration email us at philanthropy@islandwood.org and we will create your Group (table) for you!
Engage friends, family, or colleagues to join you for the event. Online hosts: Since you have the option to attend virtually, there is no limit to how many guests can "sit at your table." Invite past event guests, and people who have not attended but would be interested in supporting IslandWood. Use the sample language and electronic invitation provided below.
Inspire giving by sharing with your guests why you are passionate about IslandWood and why it is important to support environmental education for all Washington students and teachers! If one of your guests cannot join you on May 6, ask them to consider making a donation instead, every dollar supports IslandWood's environmental education programs and operations.
Thank your guests. After the event, let your guests know you appreciate them attending, and continue the conversation about how they can stay involved with IslandWood.
