Medium: Digital Illustration
Description of the art: The Royal Ball is enlarged from our recently-published book, The King and the Beggar Lady-a Love Ballad. This package includes both an 8x10" full-color print and a paperback copy of the book, signed by the artist and the author. The book is 90 pages, 6.5 x 8.5" and the reading level is for adults and older kids.
Inspiration for the piece: My husband, Wim Coleman, wrote the story-poem based on a tale dating to Shakespeare's days-the one about a king who falls in love with a beggar woman. Does he woo her and marry her and make her his queen? In his retelling, the Beggar Woman turns the King's world upside down. I created more than 40 illustrations of various sizes for the book.

2 x 2 etching from copper plate. Piece created by Bonnie Bast. Ms. Bast studied art with Jackson Square, New Orleans artist Chick Weber, at the University of New Orleans, Louisiana Tech, Delgado, and the Academy of Fine Art. In 1987, she tried her rand at etching. Her eye for detail and steady hand were helpful in translating her images to copper plate.

The artist, 16 years old Te'Reyna Dixon, has done an acrylic painting on canvas of an an Antique Teacup. The title of the piece is "Antique" completed in the Spring of 2022. She was inspired through Pinterest and Disney's Alice in Wonderland!
Te'Reyna loves to paint and draw, and recently had a piece on display at Cameron Art Museum for Kids State of the Art. Currently she has art on display on three local billboards from participating in a Cancer on Canvas project to benefit those battling with the illness.
Te'Reyna is a also a member of the Art Club at her high school, assisting with homecoming decor and theatre. She is a talented and budding young artist who is passionate about her art and loves helping others.
