We have used the Ronald McDonald House for many years. In January, it will be 11 years we've used the House through our 2 wonderful boys. Our oldest started our journey and our youngest has continued our journey.
The House has definitely been a blessing to us. It has become a home-away-from-home for us and everyone there has become like family to us. Knowing that we have somewhere to go and get a good nights sleep, a hot meal, a shower, and time to just escape the hustle and bustle of the hospital is much appreciated. You don't know how much you take for granted until you don't have it at your fingertips. No family should ever have to worry about where they're going to sleep or eat, and in this day and age, it's expensive. We have made lasting friendships with many wonderful families, which has also been a blessing knowing that you're not going through this alone. A lot of the families we will stay in contact with.
We are grateful that we have the opportunity to utilize the services of the Ronald McDonald House, and we couldn't enjoy it without the generous supporters.
For over 41 years, the Ronald McDonald House of Danville has worked hard to ensure families whose children have cancer or other serious illnesses can stay together and be close to the care they need. Thank you for your consideration in donating to Season of Giving.
