People's Light is the first American theatre to pilot this exciting technology which originated at the National Theatre of Great Britain. We are still the only theatre in the U.S. to offer them, but we will soon help train other area theatres in their use.

• The text of the play is streamed across the lenses of the glasses so that the user may come to any performance when the glasses are offered, and does not have to divide their gaze between the action onstage and an open caption screen
• In the coming years, we will purchase the next generation of this device hardware and train more technicians

For Blind or low vision audience members, audio description provides a real-time description of the action on stage.
