For Elvia Pena Savage, art is a way to express the beauty of life. She is continuously inspired by the seasons and life as she captures the many colors of the landscape in her powerful and striking work. Her depictions of the effects of light and color in the earth, sky, clouds, water and flowers are breathtaking.
An aspiring artist, business owner and mother herself, Elvia is a perfect role model for young girls to emulate. As a Hispanic female in the world of painting where more girls and women need to be recognized, Elvia is determined to make her mark. She works hard everyday, not only on her art, but also with her home studio, promoting her artwork, networking in the community as well as teaching youth and adults about the practice of painting and participating. She really believes that bringing art to the community will contribute to bringing some happiness to the world.
