Miss You All the Time was created by the Mientus and the Ortiz families in loving memory of their children, Hailey and Aiden. Hailey was diagnosed in 2019 with Stage IV Wilms Tumor, relapsed in 2020 and 2021, and passed away in November of 2022. Aiden was just two years old when he passed away in May 2022, after a battle with brain cancer. Hidden under the glass and grout are special messages written by these families to their angel warriors. As the name suggests, Hailey, Aiden, and all of the other very special angel warriors are missed ALL THE TIME!
My name is Salem, I am 15, and I was diagnosed with PNET Brain Cancer on 11/2013. Today I have been in remission for 5 years. I made a butterfly mosaic because it is an example of beauty in the world.
Aurora, 8, diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on 4/18/19.
My painting is of Pikachu. I chose to paint this specific Pokemon because although Pikachu is small, he is super strong and filled with so much light he even shoots his lighting-thunder shock bolts at others. I like to think of myself this way. Sharing my light with others and being brave just like Pikachu when I was fighting cancer.
Garrett, age 12, Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, diagnosed on 12/1/17
I made this eagle mosaic because I think eagles are cool. They represent strength and courage and both of those are needed when you're going through cancer treatments. I hope you like it.
My name is Owen, I am 7 years old, and I was diagnosed with Bilateral Wilms Tumor in 2017 at 11 months old. I am a two-time cancer survivor, and 4 years in remission. I made this painting because I fought hard for almost 3 years and beat it. I lost my daddy to lung cancer last year, and my daddy and I really liked to spend time at the beach together. My daddy loved Ford's, so I made this picture in honor of pediatric cancer and my daddy. I hope you like my artwork!
Maddie, 10, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on 12/26/2017. This mosaic is based off of a shooting star I made in pre-school before I was diagnosed with leukemia. To me it means: if you reach for the stars and keep on trying, you will achieve.
Andrew, age 2, diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in June of 2021.
This painting was made to represent the time in Andrew's life after being out of treatment for several months and learning to get back to normal life. The cycles of treatment felt a lot like a storm, and the years following have many trials that Andrew will face, and this is a reminder of the trials he has faced, and the battles won.
My name is Silas, I am 12 years old and was diagnosed on 2/5/2018 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I made a circle of gold to represent Hope. I always had hope when I was going through treatment and especially when I was in the hospital. I want others to have some when they see my mosaic of hope.
My name is Jeremiah, I am 12 years old, and I had Wilms Tumor. For the Gala I made a painting of the Steel Stacks because It was the first big building I would see on my way home from the hospital. I would pass it and know that I was close to home. Every time I went to the hospital to get my cancer treatment, I felt sad and could not wait to see the Steel Stacks again. Now today when I look at the Steel Stacks, I know I am cancer-free and a two-time survivor.
My name is Dominic, and I am 13 years old. I was diagnosed at age 6 with Medulloblastoma, a brain cancer. I made this mosaic of Fenrir, the savage fighting wolf, because you need to be that tough to fight cancer. I love wolves and my friends and family made up Dom's Wolfpack to help encourage and support me!
My name is Justin and I was 4 years old when I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia also known as (AML) on May 1, 2020. I decided to make Spider Man and call my art the "Amazing Warriors" because every time I was in-patient I would dress up as a superhero and I was one tough warrior preparing for battle. I would walk the halls dressed up as a superhero during treatment and it would help to calm me and bring comfort. I am currently 7 years old and almost 24 months in remission.
My name is Eliza, and I am 9 years old. I was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
I made a mosaic of a fairy and a sunflower. I like fairies because they remind me of magic. I used a lot of green, so I thought that it looked like a fairy in the valley. If you look at the sunflower like the fairy, you will see true magic, "You" in the mirror.
My name is Jillian. I am 17 and have been diagnosed with Recurrent Medulloblastoma.
My tradition of painting Be-YOU-tiful paintings continues. To me, being Be-YOU-tiful means to never give up and celebrate who YOU are.
Bryce is 10 years old and was originally diagnosed with Medulloblastoma (brain cancer) in March 2015 at the age of 2 and relapsed in July 2017. Bryce loves the beach. It makes him so happy! "Life is like the ocean. It can be calm or still, and rough or rigid, but in the end, it is always beautiful."
Hi, my name is Colin, and I am 7 years old. I was diagnosed with ALL on 3/27/2017. For the Gala I wanted to make a mosaic of dolphins. I wanted to make a dolphin mosaic because they are cool, fast, and can do tricks. I also had the chance to swim with dolphins last year. And I loved it! Dolphins make me feel happy and I hope my picture makes you feel happy, too!
Hi! My name is Antonio, and I am 13 years old. I was diagnosed with High Risk B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. I made a painting of a phoenix because I love Harry Potter and it symbolizes rebirth. The phoenix dies but rises from the ashes stronger and better. In the movie, the phoenix cures Harry Potter and then dies. Then it is born again. That is why it became the symbol of my journey.
My name is Colton. I am 9 and was diagnosed in January 2020 at 6 years old with Pre-B ALL. I relapsed in December 2020 and have been cancer-free since 2022 after a stem cell transplant. Halloween is my favorite holiday. I look forward to dressing up all year long and I try to never miss a trick or treat. In 2021, I missed Halloween because the weekend before I had to go in-patient to prepare for my bone marrow transplant (I dressed up in the hospital just for fun). I fought hard and in 2022 I had the best Halloween ever! I hope you enjoy a little decoration I made for my favorite holiday!
Kadyn (13), Andrew (10), and Emma (9) are siblings of 3-year-old warrior Owen, who was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 1. We made this special picture because every time we see dandelion flowers, we make a wish for our little brother Owen and for all the warriors we know. We used our fingerprints to connect ourselves with these special flowers and each fingerprint represents a new wish. We hope every time you see a dandelion flower, you think of Owen and all the warriors and make a wish, too!
Complete Art Title: The Best View Comes After The Hardest Climb
Hi, my name is Ryan. I am 13 and was diagnosed with Neuroepithelial Abdominal Tumor at age 9.
For the Gala, I made an abstract painting that resembles "Starry Night," with my own twist. I decided to add a mountain to the picture as it symbolizes the "climb" it takes to get through treatment. Going through radiation and chemotherapy was very difficult for me, but with the help of my doctors, nurses, family and friends, I did it! Now, I get to enjoy life again with a whole new perspective.
Hi, my name is Cam. I am 11 years old. I was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma when I was 6 years old. I chose to create a mosaic of a baseball and a Phillies symbol along with a pediatric cancer ribbon. I am very fortunate that I have been cancer-free for the past four years. It has allowed me to be able to play baseball, which is my favorite sport. I hope one day to play for the Phillies or to help find a cure for pediatric cancer.
McCoy Rapa (8), Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and John Notchey, AKA Big Kid John (19), Stage 2A Nodular Sclerosis Hodgkin's Lymphoma, established an unlikely friendship while in treatment. Together they created "Our Wish" to show their desire for a cure for all pediatric cancers. McCoy and John's unique friendship reminds others that they are not alone in their fight and that laughter is sometimes the best medicine.

Hi, I am Everett. I am 12 years old and brother to Andrew. I was inspired to do Gerry The Fish because during the summer of the year my little brother was diagnosed, I spent a lot of my time at my cousins' house in Missouri. While I was there, we did a lot of fishing and I thought of Gerry because it reminded me of the summer of 2021.
My name is Julia Paung. I am 12 years old and my sibling Ku'K was diagnosed with AML 9/25/2017 and passed 4/21/2019. I named my painting this because it is very calm and minimalistic and has very serene colors in it. This is how life is supposed to be, calm and minimalistic and that is how all kids' lives should be.

Hi. My name is Jason. I am 16 years old and a sibling of Silas. I made my mosaic by thinking of nothing and just letting my hands do the work. Sometimes Nothing is Peaceful, quiet, creative, loud, sad, or everything balled in one. It's whatever you want it to be. I hope you like it.
Noah, 7, was diagnosed with Ganglioneuroblastoma in July 2017 and his sister, Hannah is 9. Hannah and Noah thought hard about what they could paint as a team. For some reason, the idea of a tree being shown in different seasons stuck out to them. As their mom, I thought their choice had great symbolism for the project. A cancer diagnosis involves many seasons that the family will experience and sometimes there is cycling through and repeating these seasons. We are so grateful that PCFLV has been with our family through all the seasons.
Hi, my name is Caidyn. I am 13 years old and I am a "super sib" to Cameron. I created a mosaic of a sunrise for this year's Hearts of Gold Gala. Hi, my name's Dakota May. I am 16 years old. I made a mosaic of the moon & the stars. My brother passed away when I was 3 years old. One way I symbolize his loss is looking up at the sky at night and wishing upon the stars. I find the sky mesmerizing no matter the time or location you're looking at it. I hope you like it as much as I do!
