Long time Barrington Resident Andrea Wright is thrilled to support Bacoa's Dancing with the Barrington Stars! Andrea grew up loving to dance and spent years in cheer and Poms, and was also a Silverette at NIU. She admits it's been a while since she has danced publicly but is always happy to support a worthwhile cause. She moved to Barrington with her family in 1986 and has supported the community throughout the years, working with many charities including Barrington Children's Charities, BJWC, Bacoa and many more. She has three amazing children: her daughter who graduated from Barrington High School and her two boys who are currently there in their junior and senior years.

Traveling is a passion of hers and as the Vice President of Playa Resorts, she manages the sales force for the USA, which supports major all-inclusive brands including Hyatt, Hilton and Marriott in the Caribbean, Mexico and Jamaica. If you can't find Andrea in Barrington, she is on a beach with her family in the Caribbean. She has a simple motto, "Live for Today, Tomorrow's not Promised". This is exactly why she is throwing on her dancing shoes! She has been in the audience supporting the past stars who are dear friends of hers, and now it's her time to shine and pay back a community that has given her so much over the years.

Claire Sincox Mullen, a Barrington native and 2012 BHS graduate, is a top producing real estate broker on the Morrison Home Team of @Properties here in Barrington. When she's not working, she is proud to be a part of incredible, local organizations like the Barrington Junior Women's Club and Ms. Business Association. Jack Mullen, a globetrotting private pilot and Naperville native, has recently adopted Barrington as his home when the two bought a 1938 Sears Kit house ahead of their October 2022 wedding. They are so excited to bring their moves to the dance floor this year and blow the competition out of the water!

Cassidy is a 15 year old sophomore at Barrington High School. Her favorite class is culinary skills where she loves to create yummy food and desserts. Cassidy participates in musicals through the Special Friends productions at Willow Creek. She also dances with the Shining Stars at Bataille Academy of the Danse and plays basketball on the Barrington school district Special Olympics team. She loves to self entertain with her iPad as she's often seen videotaping mundane moments in life (like eating). Mamma Mia soundtrack is her favorite of all time! Fun fact: You will never see Cassidy without a fidget spinner in her possession. At home, Cassidy is affectionately referred to as 'Joy on Legs' as she is jovial, fun loving, light hearted, happy and affectionate.

Jessica is 20 years old. She graduated from Barrington High School in 2021 and she is presently in her second year at The Barrington Transition Program. Jessica loves school and especially working at her job sites. But most of all? her favorite ever? is her real job where she works at Barrington Hills Country Club (where she will never miss a day of work). Jessica loves performing on stage with musical productions at Willow Creek. She plays Special Olympic basketball and dances with the Shining Stars at Bataille Academy of the Danse. In her spare time, she loves to listen to music. Fun fact: Jessica knows all trivia related to her favorite 5 sister girl band Cimorelli. At home, Jessica is affectionately referred to as 'Love on Legs' as she is affectionate, compassionate, caring, loyal and deeply in tune with others' emotions.

Gayle is the mom to 4 girls ages 15-21! Prior to making home her full time job, Gayle was a school social worker for 12 years. In 2016, inspired by her two daughters with Down syndrome, Gayle founded the RISE Program at Judson University for students with intellectual disabilities. RISE (the Road to Independent living, Spiritual formation and Employment) is a 2 year certification program which offers a college life inclusive experience, with specialized curriculum and internships, for students who historically have not had the opportunity to attend college. In her spare time, Gayle enjoys playing golf, tennis, paddle and traveling. Fun fact: Gayle is spontaneous and curious and prefers to play and spend time with people over tasks! Gayle and Skip will celebrate 30 years of marriage in 2023!

Fire Chief John Christian has been leading the Barrington Fire Department since 2020. Prior to his time in Barrington, John spent 32 years with the Grayslake Fire District serving as the Fire Chief since 2009. John lives with his wife Trisha in Barrington Hills and has two adult sons, Lucas and Alec. He is a veteran of the Illinois National Guard serving in 1/131st Infantry, Past President of The Illinois Fire Chiefs Association, and a current member of the Barrington Breakfast Rotary Club.

In his free time, John enjoys playing golf and spending time fishing and hunting in Northern Wisconsin. He is thrilled to be involved with Bacoa, raising funds to support an outstanding organization.

Kylen is a 7th Grade Math teacher at Barrington Middle School Station Campus. She grew up in Palatine and currently lives in Barrington. She is involved with the theater department at the middle school, choreographing and directing. She grew up doing musical theater and loves being able to create this environment for her students. Outside of school, Kylen is involved with community theater, makes TikToks about teaching, and is pursuing her master's in curriculum and instruction. She loves to hang out with her husband, Dan, and their chihuahua pug, Apollo. Thank you to all who encouraged her to perform this year!

Lauren (Berkowitz) Klauer is, and always has been, proud to call Barrington home.

After graduating from Barrington High School, Lauren attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and then moved to Chicago to pursue a career in the wine and spirits industry. Her 15-year stint in the business brought her many exciting experiences and memories, but the most notable is that she met her husband Michael during this time in her life.

Lauren and Michael are raising two beautiful kids and two wacky dogs in Glen Acres, where they have lived for 11 years! Since moving back, Lauren has served on many community boards, volunteered with local organizations and has remained active in her kids' schools. She is grateful to be a part of a community that keeps a focus on giving back and taking care of the people among us who need it. Lauren is a true believer that we do, in fact, belong to each other! She's excited (and humbled and a little nervous if she's being honest) to be dancing with her dad to raise money and awareness for Bacoa!

Mike Berkowitz is a New Yorker through and through but his love of Barrington runs deep. Born and raised in NYC, Mike left the east coast to play soccer at Indiana State University. He decided to make the Midwest home and moved to Chicago after graduation. He began his career as a teacher at Evanston High School and then moved into the women's fashion industry as a Manufacturing Representative for various accessory lines. From there, he began a 35-year run as founder of Berkowitz Enterprises Inc., as a syndicator and developer of industrial real estate. He is currently a broker for Entre Commercial real estate.

Aside from his career, Mike is a family man and an active member of the Barrington community. He has been married to Kelly Berko for 23 years and between them have 6 kids and 5 grandchildren. He served as a District 220 school board member and president from 1986-1996. He also coached his kids AND a few of grandkids in BASA soccer. Mike's zest for life and fun is his ultimate driver and you'll be hard pressed to find anyone enjoying their day more than Berko!
