Maltese do require daily combing & grooming. If you plan to keep your Maltese in a show coat be ready for bi-weekly baths and daily combing, etc. The Maltese can also look really cute in a puppy cut which is easily managed and requires going to the groomer every couple of months. Maltese can easily live in an apartment or in a large home. Wherever you live they do require constant supervision as they can easily become pray to an owl, hawk or coyote.
