The Marfabulous Auction Package includes:
- A Pre-fixe meal for 2 at Cochineal. Enjoy a multi-coursed seasonal menu,curated by James Beard Semi-Finalist Executive Chef Alexandra Gates, inspired by the highest quality sustainable ingredients, procured from our garden as well as local & regional farms & ranches.
- A 2 night stay at El Cosmico. El Cosmico is a 21 acre nomadic hotel and campground in Marfa, Texas. In keeping with the belief that life should be a balance of adventure and do-nothingness we offer shelter, occasional entertainment, opportunity for learning/doing/making, and access to the majesty of the high plains desert. From its wide open spaces to the vast canopy of stars above, El Cosmico provides temporary liberation from the built world. It is second home to intrepid travelers and wanderers from all corners of the planet.
- A tour and tasting for 2 at the Marfa Spirit distillery ($90 dollar value) - which includes a walking tour of the distillery, a tasting flight, a cocktail, and snacks to finish.
- The Judd Foundation is donating a private Full Collection visit for 4 people. Guided visits to Judd Foundation properties in Marfa offer visitors direct engagement with Donald Judd's art and vision. Judd's formerly private living and working spaces provide firsthand experience of Judd's concept of permanent installation in the Chihuahuan Desert. A Judd Foundation private Full Collection visit includes up to all of the visited spaces that Judd Foundation makes available to the public including the Block and the Studios. The Block, Judd's residence and studio in Marfa, is the site of some of the artist's first large-scale architectural projects. Guided visits provide access to Judd's three main studios, which are permanently installed with his early work, and his personal library, which houses his collection of over 13,000 books. The Studios visit provides access to a selection of Judd?s downtown spaces, including the Architecture Studio, Art Studio, and the Cobb House and Whyte Building. These spaces contain furniture by Judd, his early paintings from the 1950s and 1960s, an extensive collection of modernist and period furniture, and works by other prominent twentieth century artists and designers.
- Chinati Foundation Tour for up to 8 people. The Chinati Foundation/La Fundación Chinati is an art museum in Marfa, Texas based upon the ideas of its founder, Donald Judd. The emphasis is on works in which art and the surrounding land are inextricably linked.
