Acrylic paint skin and resin.
b. February 5, 1981. Cluj, Romania. Before moving her home studio to Millburn, NJ in 2020, Calina has spent 20 years in New York City, 2 in Italy, and 17 in her native Romania. Driven by an innate inquisitive nature, Calina's work has evolved over the years into the abstract. She pushes the limits of the medium beyond the intended use, as creation is the only way to overcome the mundane and to generate anew. The series embodies her artistic transformation over the years and speaks to her desire of first confronting the undesirable, subsequently revealing its beauty. The usually discarded, dried medium is encased in resin, layer by layer. The result is an aesthetically striking and perfectly still moment of calculated discord. Traditionally-trained in the fine arts from a young age, Calina holds a BFA and AA from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

For artists, new media can create two things. The first is a novel set of tools to represent established visual ideas; the shiny new oil paints of the Renaissance led to shiny new renditions of the Baptism of the Virgin. The second is the realization that new materials create new art forms, which both annihilate and embrace the old ones. Picasso fractured the constructed object-in-space of the Renaissance, thanks to the museums. Now, not lapis lazuli in linseed oil, but light, not found objects, but found digital configurations. The unfolding of art through time is both metaphorical and simply concrete. Can the matter of art be created and destroyed? My work is an ongoing meditation on the shape of this question. I create my own soundtracks, and animate my own images. Forms, sounds and time appear as a single organism to the viewer, but appearances are deceptive. They are a result of my method - "Disegno" as they used to call it.

Gary Lee is a perpetual creator, born to discover and contemplate. He has an intimate relationship with the built environment, a dialogue explored in his paintings. Using acrylic paint, Lee responds to the colors, textures, and materials that surround us, creating an experience through his search for solace and subtlety. Using a burnishing technique, he shares this journey through various brush movements and the layering of unexpected color palettes. The method is active. Lee uses sweeping arm movements, often in a circular fashion, to spread and reveal the many layers of paint. Each composition arrives at a unique destination, baring the relationship between Lees movements and what the viewer sees.

Bumpy Wilson graduated in 2018 with a degree in Visual Arts with a focus in Expanded Media at The University of Kansas. He started in the Visual Arts Program without a clear path but he felt compelled to be creative. Bumpy did not fit the typical art student mold, he was in a fraternity and was provided an ultimatum at one point, drop my class or drop your fraternity. He looked towards Illustration in the Design School because the creative but formal structure was appealing to him at that time. He was later kicked out for gaining notoriety for partaking in other forms of visual art. His approach is informed by climate change, social issues, love and the lack of. He believes that the overwhelming aspects of his everyday life helps generate his ambition to create artwork. After exploring many different creative avenues he found the most genuine medium to be painting.

Self taught artist of 27 years working in oil medium. Born in Austin Texas now residing in southern Colorado my work is a reflection of my life. I have a hard time with Bio stuff. I'm not great at talking about myself and any achievements or lack of. I really paint what feels good to me with no direction other than the color pallets I start with and move me thru the work. I enjoy movement with flow and want to create pieces that feel good when you view them. My work is very original I feel to the abstract and contemporary modern work out there these days. I try to stay humble and enjoy that people enjoy my work.
