Verde opened in 2011 in the Pilsen when our owner Crystal Dorado began working out of a loft space where for 18 months she began to expand her clientele enough to warrant a more accommodating space. Verde was open with a vision and hard work alongside her children and husband. As a family they painted, scrub, and worked to bring Crystal's vision forward. Verde has been a family business since its inception and continues to be so today.

Gabe is a local Chicago artist, born and raised on the southside of Chicago. He has donated this one and only original art piece towards the mission of Instituto del Progreso Latino.

Civic Studios is a youth-driven creative agency specializing in digital media and civic engagement.

It provide opportunities for teens to gain hands-on experience in media production while making a positive impact in the community. Civic Studios partners with IDPL to provide after-school programs at Instituto Health Sciences Career Academy. In the program, students gain skills in the areas of Film Production, Audio and Music Production, and Graphic Design/Digital Art.
