The night of October 15, 2022, was a fun-filled event to celebrate the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena, the kids we serve, and our friends and supporters. Along with Back to the 80s inspired entertainment from the 80s cover band 80z All-Stars, we feasted on Habit burger meals, held live and online silent auctions, drew the winner of the Wine Wagon raffle, and offered opportunities to support the Club and the kids we serve. This Black Tie & Burgers was even more special as we celebrated our 85th Anniversary and brought the event home to our N. Fair Oaks Avenue Clubhouse due to inclement weather.
On this incredibly special night, we raised over $300,000 for life-changing programs for kids and teens in the greater Pasadena community. We deeply appreciate all those who continue to support this event year after year and those of you who attended for the first time. The Club is needed now more than ever as we continue to go deeper in helping our members recover academic and personal ground lost during the school closures due to the pandemic, recharge with their favorite physical activities, and rebuild their college and career pathways towards Great Futures.
Black Tie & Burgers was held this year at our Mackenzie-Scott (N. Fair Oaks Avenue) Clubhouse, and it was a beautiful and special night filled with fun, laughs, and generosity.
Very special thank you to the Boys Tie & Burgers Committee and its Chair, Melina Montoya, for planning this beautiful 14th Black Tie & Burgers!

October 12 at 5 pm: Silent Auction opened on GiveSmart
October 15: Black Tie & Burgers! Our program was as follows:
- 6:00 pm: Cocktail Hour Reception, Silent Auction, and Wine Wagon Ticket Sales
- 7:10 pm: Dinner, Keynote Speakers, Live Auction, 85th Anniversary video, Opportunities to support the Club, Wine Wagon Raffle
- 8:30 pm: Silent Auction closed
- 8:45 pm: Dancing to 80s cover band 80z All-Stars
