Drafted in the first round, 17th overall, by the St. Louis Blues, Barret Jackman was among leaders for NHL rookies for ice time and won the Calder Memorial Trophy (Rookie of the Year) in 2003. Jackman stayed in St. Louis during the NHL lockout, returning to the Blues for the 2005-2006 season, setting career highs for assists and points. He was a member of the 2007 Canadian IIHF World Championship team that won gold. Jackman signed with Nashville in 2015, but ultimately came home to retire a Blue in 2016.
