Together with Winemaker Cabell Coursey, they craft small lots of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from some of the finest vineyards in the Sonoma Coast. The Pinot Noir is crafted with care from a family of growers in Petaluma, where the Lombardi Family has been since 1947. Savor this signed, limited production magnum of Lombardi Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. This limited production wine reveals dark aromas of blackberry, black cherry and ripe currants in the nose with a dust of cocoa. The 2013 Knudsen Vineyard Blanc de Blancs magnum is from Argyle's beloved Julia Lee's Block planted in 1990 at Knudsen Vineyard. It captures the grace and grandeur of a great Blanc de Blancs.

Planted in 1990, at 850 feet of elevation, the Dijon clone Chardonnay planted in Julia Lee's Block furnishes this year's Blanc de Blancs with white peach, lemon zest, and hints of cocoa refined by layers of delicate creamy precision.

The late September picking and well below average crop yield has led to a sparkling wine of generous concentration, while still allowing the volcanic tension of the Dundee Hills to shine. Fermenting and aging in our oldest, neutral oak barrels expands its middle palate depth and builds upon its taut, savory length.

The 2009 Extended Tirage Brut is a very limited production magnum from an exceptional vintage, released for the first time ever. Aged for twelve years on the yeast and disgorged on demand to ensure freshness, it is an exceptional expression of Argyle's Tirage Library in Dundee, that has Sparkling wines still aging on the yeast, dating back to our first vintage in 1987.

Being one of the warmer growing seasons of the decade, the 2009 sparkling harvest was incredibly compressed, lasting just 6 days. This meant we had to be on point with our picking decisions in order to capture the pinnacle of ripe fruit flavor and bursting acidity.

Aged upon the lees for 10 years, Extended Tirage Brut is impressive for its balance of creamy layered texture with the vibrance of fresh disgorgement. Poached quince, crème de cassis, and roast hazelnut are layered with the mature brioche complexity, bringing harmony to its graceful, long finish.

This very limited production magnum is released for the second time ever. Only 60 magnums produced.

Christophe has championed "closed circle" farming since his first vines took root, and in 2002, was the first to implement biodynamic farming techniques in the Walla Walla Valley.

In 2008, with Horsepower Vineyards, he became the first vigneron in the United States to create a project dedicated to cultivating vineyards using draft horses-an effort which revived the methods of traditional agriculture used by his ancestors in the family vineyards.

Christophe's wines can only be purchased by Members, and his Member Lists are waitlisted for up to seven years.
