Our 15th summer of fun was full of special memories thanks to so many of you! Blessings upon blessings all summer long from donors, volunteers, partners, and ongoing prayer! Thank you so very much!!
Preschool and elementary children enjoyed their final weeks of Caterpillar Camp including a trip to the splash pad in Kannapolis. Middle & high school girls gathered for food, crafts, bible study and great conversations. Middle school boys had a pizza party and a trip to Spare Time. Our interns closed out their summer of hard work with a celebratory lunch! They shared that their internship taught them flexibility, communication skills, how to spread God's word, patience, how to get out of your comfort zone, responsibility, and leadership. One of the biggest blessings of the summer was the transformation of one of our high school neighbors who plugged in with us. Read his story here....
We had a Back to School Bash where over 85 families came out for free backpacks, school supplies, clothes, vision screenings, food, and fun! It was truly a fantastic fiesta! Throughout the rest of August, we continued to give out supplies to neighbors and to Matthew's Closet! (who provided clothes at the event)
Ramah Presbyterian welcomed 34 children and 4 interns for a week of VBS fun.
We are still soaking up the sun during our 15th summer of fun!
Thanks to Kooks Headers and Exhaust & Make An Impact Foundation for the amazing day of blimps, airplanes and pizza!
Our preschoolers studied the days of creation and explored all the big and little things God created on their adventures to Sweetwater Farms.
Elementary learned that their faith grows when they share their story as they dove into the story of Jonah. Although they didn't see any whales, our 2nd-4th graders were overwhelmed to see God's amazing creativity shine through the different marine life at the aquarium.
Our first weeks of summer programming were with partner camps (heART Camp and Sole sisters below)
Camp Caterpillar started June 20, led by our Faith Development Director- Heather Kendall!
