The Lonnie Poole Golf Course is a dream come true for NC State University. The stunning layout was designed by Arnold Palmer and the design team at Arnold Palmer Design Company (including Erik Larsen and Brandon Johnson, both NC State graduates).

Located in the center of the Village of Southern Pines, this 6,500-yard vintage course has drawn locals, professionals and tourists alike since 1906. Renowned as an authentic American gem, it's the third original course Donald Ross ever designed - after the front nine of Pinehurst #2 and the 18-hole Winchester Country Club course in 1901. Ross completed the back nine of Pinehurst No. 2 in 1907.

The stars come out at night, and so do lots of Triangle golfers! Knights Play's fully-illuminated par-three course and 60-station driving range are open from 8:00 AM to LATE.
