This will be a day cruise and will take up to four hours; weather permitting. The sailing will begin at Chesapeake Boat Basin in Kilmarnock, VA and go in and around the Chesapeake Bay. The boat is fully insured, equipped with all required U.S. Coast Guard safety gear, and is owned and captained by an Elon Alumnus. If guests plan to stay overnight in Kilmarnock before or after the cruise, the Tides Inn is an exceptional place to stay. Winners do not need to know how to sail or swim to participate. Suggested dates: June 1st - October 15th. Other dates may be available depending on Captain's availability.

The farm features over 1,000 acres of land, nine stocked ponds, a swamp perfect for duck hunts, a thriving turkey population, and some of the best trophy deer hunting NC has to offer. There is also an on-site hunting lodge to sleep in during the evening. The event will begin with a catered lunch, followed by an afternoon tower hunt and dinner at the farm. The USNWC's 1,300 acres offers a wide variety of outdoor activities for all ages and skill levels. The USNWC Day Pass provides access to all available land and water activities on the date of visit.
