Red Oxx Manufacturing is located smack dab in the largest rail hub in Montana. We've been talking with railroaders for years.

That's how we developed the original Red Oxx Railroad Grip. Lately they asked for a new bag. Something they could carry on their shoulders. A rucksack that was just the right size for shorter runs or warmer climates.

WE HEARD THE LONE QUILLER IN THE DARKNESS.

The new Rail Runner has plenty of pockets. Toss your pencils and pens in the top lid "stuff" pocket. Mounted on the raised side pockets, our proprietary gusseted pockets, borrowed from our Gator, Metro and CPA Briefcases, (which by the way, make great dog catching bags) close easily with the ever-handy one-handed, finger and thumb snap lid. Storage for those little items you need access to all day long. Behind each of these handy gusset pockets is a hidden slip pocket.

There's also a flat slip pocket on the raised front pocket. This raised front pocket is a perfect location for the GCOR rulebook or tablet. Easy to get to when you need it. There's a laptop notebook or tablet slip pocket in the same front pocket for easy access to your computer, too.

Based on the Aviator Kit Bag from our days in military service, this rectangular-shaped parachute-style bag is perfect for stowing sleeping bags, emergency roadside assistance supplies in the trunk of your car, or even as a short trip laundry bag.

This is the smallest in the Aviator Kit Bag series. Which, frankly isn't saying much because it can carry A LOT. However, folded flat and tucked into your regular carry-on bag on the trip out, the Extra Small Aviator can return home filled with souvenirs and presents as your "personal item" on the plane.

The Red Oxx Aviator Kit Bag line of storage and carry gear bags were developed for our entry-level customers or those seeking simplicity. Featuring the same sturdy materials like 1000-weight CORDURA Brand Nylon fabric and heavy-duty hardware as our regular Red Oxx bags, the Aviators are simple by design.

To keep them affordable they don't come with the Claw No-slip Shoulder Strap or the upgraded Long-Hauler Comfort Carry Strap. All Aviators now feature two D-ring attachments on opposite corners for use with our straps.

Nor do they have any pockets or padding. Just a good-old basic hand carry bag to serve basic simple needs without extravagance. Rugged, reliable, and tough.

This is the bag you've been hearing about and spotted out on the tracks. Red Oxx began hand-building this duffel style Grip for locomotive railroad engineers here in Billings, Montana in 1992.

Together with a group of five rail engineers and conductors, Red Oxx created an American-made trainman bag that could survive the rough rail life.

Designed with the help of these fellow engineers, conductors and train crew members at our local rail hub (Montana's largest), it's been tested tough to the extreme, making it the perfect work Grip.

The Grip is made out of our strongest material; 1050 heavy-weight denier Ballistic Nylon (available only in BLACK, and for good reason, colored bags get filthy quickly in the rail yard environment).

Originally developed as a flak jacket fabric in World War II, Ballistic Nylon is one of the strongest and durable flexible textiles available. Rugged, reliable, and tough.
