Ashley Sasser Gunson's obsession with knitting started i 1998 when her dear friend, Liz Jensen, taughter he how to knit. She especially loves knitting hats, particular hand-knitted beanies made from wool or alpaca fiber. She started Mutze by Ashley in 1999as a way to fund her love for knitting (the name Mutze is German for hat). She recently started breeding her alpacas. She stared with two females, Lena and Zsu Zsu, who later gave birth to Little B. Ashley's hats are completely hand made and completely unique.
