Wine Barrel Dog Bed

This dog bed is constructed from half a barrel used in wine making by Meyer Family Cellars in the
Anderson Valley, Mendocino County, CA., about 125 miles north of San Francisco. Anderson Valley is a
somewhat remote valley located about twenty-five miles from the coast and is home to about forty
wineries. The winery buys their barrels from the Oak Cooperage in Higbee, Missouri, about halfway
between Kansas City and St. Louis. The barrels are constructed from white oak and cost about $1,000
when new. Meyers Family Cellars uses the barrels for two or three seasons to age
