This bottle of George T. Stagg Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, (58.45% ABV) of is one of five offerings in Buffalo Trace's Antique Collection. The barrels for the 2019 release were aged no less than 15 years and 3 months. They were distilled in Spring of 2004. A very rare and hard to locate bottle, was donated from the private collection of the late Marc Zeidler (food and wine connoisseur and Bourbon Enthusiast). You will not see this bottle in most liquor stores as collectors usually scoop them up making them almost impossible to find, pushing the price on the secondary market sky high.

TASTING NOTES:
Lush toffee sweetness and dark chocolate with hints of vanilla, fudge, nougat and molasses. Underlying notes of dates, tobacco, dark berries, spearmint and a hint of coffee round out the palate.

This Bourbon Basket includes three types of bourbon, including a W.L. Weller Special Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon, and an Eagle Rare Aged 10 Years Kentucky Straight Bourbon, and a Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon. Included in the basket are two Gelncairn official whisky glasses.

The W.L. Weller Special Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon has an exceptionally smooth taste, substituting wheat for rye grain. Bottled at 90 proof, this bourbon stands out with its burnt orange color. Its softer flavor notes make this bourbon great for sipping or making cocktails.

The Eagle Rare Aged 10 Years Kentucky Straight Bourbon is carefully aged for no less than 10 year. It has aromas of toffee, hints of orange peel, herbs, honey, leather and oak. The palate has bold, dry, oaky flavors with notes of candied almonds and very rich cocoa.

The Blanton's Single Barrel Bourbon has aromas of nutmeg and spices. The palate has dry vanilla notes in harmony with hints of honey amid strong caramel and corn, and a medium finish composed of returning corn and nutmeg flavors.

This Angel's Envy 2015 Cask Strength Port Wine Barrel Finish Kentucky Straight Bourbon was ranked "Best in the World" by Spirit Journal. Being a collector's item, it is not sold in stores or online.

The nose features heavy caramel up front, followed by roasted almonds, orange peel citrus and faint blueberry. The palate includes pound cake, root beer, candy corn, honey, tart strawberries, blackberries, figs, with slight black pepper on the finish.
