The family will collect the work of their student throughout the school year in a tote that we will provide to you. Turn the tote into the office at the end of the school year and your child's memories will be preserved and returned to you, along with the completed book.
The famous Ms. Meg will mentor one 1st through 8th grade student through their 2023-2024 History Fair project.
Ms. Meg and the student will work closely together to choose a subject, get to know their topic, develop an outline, and map out their board.

Katsushika Hokusai known simply as Hokusai, was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist of the Edo period, active as a painter and printmaker.
Our students immersed themselves in his work this fall, and Upper Elementary West was inspired to create this custom toy box with their rendition of his famous Mount Fuji painting, a custom wall canvas painting, and a box of Japanese snacks.
A custom Amelia Earhart painting, completed by artist and MMS Art teacher, Betzi Lievens.
Amelia Mary Earhart was an American aviation pioneer and writer. Earhart was the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean.
Lower Elementary East was inspired by Michigan rocks and the study of geology, which led to this painting! The colors and shapes are reminiscent of Michigan rocks.
The Ukiyo-e art created by Katsushika Hokusai and others is said to have significantly influenced Impressionists such as Monet, Manet, Renoir, and Van Gogh. These Impressionist painters created many works of art based on Ukiyo-e, incorporating its visual style and compositional techniques.
Upper Elementary West completed this beautiful Hokusai inspired painting, based on one of his most famous works, including the beautiful landscape and waters near Mount Fuji.
Children's House North lent their artistic talents to this amazing bird collage print! Each child colored an image that is displayed.
The winner will receive one introductory guitar lesson with MMS Guitar Teacher, Ken Shearer. This lesson is good for 30 minutes. Need not have own instrument or any experience.
