More about this year's Call of the Heart focus...

Access to the curriculum through the use of updated textbooks and materials is an essential element to the success (and sanity!) of a committed and dedicated educator. In this day and age where the focus is on individualized instruction, it never seems like there is enough time in the day or week for an educator to prepare their lessons and meet all the needs of their students.  The gift of time in their own personal lives is also invaluable!

Rather than feel like they need to recreate the wheel in their "off" hours, the benefit of having sound educational tools that are fine-tuned to help teachers in their craft, lets them have confidence that they are equipped with the materials on-hand to plan units that can engage student needs of all levels!  Teachers can then be the creative professionals they are, and enhance the learning through memorable experiences and quality instructional strategies that utilize those tools to bring academic content alive in the minds of their students!

This year's Call of the Heart will be used primarily to purchase updated textbooks and materials in the area of Science, but will also be used to enhance reading instruction through the use of grade level novel sets.

Saint Francis Xavier School's Cornerstone Award

This year marks a special milestone for our school, our 100th year of existence as a school community!  At this 10th annual Gala we are here to CELEBRATE the varied ways our school has made an impact on the lives of many who have had the privilege of attending. We are literally shaping the faith and values of the future leaders of our society!

The Cornerstone Award was established in 2019 with the intention of recognizing the rich history of our wonderful Catholic School community.  Many sacrifices and contributions have created and reinforced the strong foundation that we are able to build upon today through your generosity: .

2019- Mrs. Therese Ledoux

2020- Dominican Sisters of Hope

2021- Mr. & Mrs. Ray Davignon

2022 Cornerstone Award Recipients

The 4th Annual Cornerstone Award will be given this year to four individuals who through their combined 100 years of service to St. Francis Xavier have transformed the lives of many, many students!  Each one of this year's "4 corners" made a firm commitment to the mission of Catholic education by wholeheartedly accepting their vocational call to be a teacher in our Catholic School.  Their long-term sacrifice, passion, dedication, and commitment has contributed greatly to the life of our school, has planted seeds of faith, and has inspired students to greatness!

Our 4 co-recipients of the 2022 Cornerstone Award are:

Mrs. Deborah Brunelle
Mrs. Judy O'Malley
Mrs. Nancy McKenna
We have also included the beloved Mrs. Elaine Morris, who passed away sadly and suddenly in the Spring of 2014.

The Cornerstone Award plaque will continue to be on display in a prominent location of our school building to honor all our past, present, and future Cornerstone Award recipients. We will be adding the names of each of these wonderful women to the award plaque, and will always be inspired by their dedication and how they reinforced the foundation of our wonderful school community through their unique contributions of time, talent, and treasure. Thank you all for all that you have done, and continue to do for the children of St. Francis Xavier.

WE ARE FOREVER GRATEFUL!
