When and where is the event?
Hotel Albuquerque, November 5th.
Doors open at 5:00 PM.
What should I wear?
This is not your typical Gala! We are celebrating our 50th Anniversary, so this year's theme is "Decades." Please feel free to dress up in theme or something else really fun! Casual attire is appropriate for those who do not wish to dress up.
What should I expect at this non-Gala event?
FUN! You'll be joining 60 other business and community leaders who are competing for the Waiters Tip Trophy (All tips go to Meals on Wheels, of course). Your waiter will do things like asking you to tip for silverware or refills. You can also turn the tables (pun intended) and maybe you'll decide to challenge your waiter to dance or sing or maybe challenge two waiters to a push up contest (or something like that). They will be bringing their A Game for fun... who knows what will happen! This is a FUNdraising event, so please be prepared to tip your waiter to help them WIN!
- Adult Tricycle Races will be organized like a NASCAR race by a former race engineer and the winner gets a chance to draw for a brand new $40,000 vehicle. Entry fee required. Click here to register for The Great Tricycle Race.
- Live and Silent Auctions with the theme of "Wheels and Meals". Expect food and travel and car-related items to bid on. Click here to see the silent and live auction items.
Anything else I should know?
Here's what you won't see at the event... long, sad, boring speeches, a rubber chicken dinner (though there may be some actual rubber chickens), and lots of sitting around.
The event is organized on the internet, so guests will register in advance to tip their waiter, bid on auction items and enter the Great Tricycle Race ... bar is separate. Email instructions for registration will be sent to each guest in advance (if you did not receive your registration email, please contact your table host).
