S-LSA RV-12iS

Light-Sport. Factory Built. Total Performance.

Fifty years ago, Dick VanGrunsven created Van's Aircraft of Aurora, Oregon. His idea of a good airplane was one that did as many things well as possible. He designed light airframes with low drag and moderate power. His design resonated with others and can be measured by the number of RV-3s, RV-4s, RV-6s, RV-7s, RV-8s, RV-9s, RV-10s, RV-12s, and RV-14s gracing the skies and the enthusiastic fervor of the pilots who fly them.

The original RV-12 took the Experimental Light-Sport Aircraft (E-LSA) market by storm in 2008. To date, more than 1,100 kits have been purchased. And there are a lot of RV-12s gracing the sky: more than 600 RV-12s are currently being flown all over the world by student pilots, sport pilots, and private pilots, and this your chance to join them!

This complete and ready-to-fly Van's RV-12iS aircraft is a two-seat all-metal side-by-side airplane with a large cabin that seats the occupants ahead of the wing spar for maximum room and superb visibility. It's powered by a modern, fuel-injected Rotax 912 iS Sport engine. These rugged little engines didn't become the worldwide standard in light-sport aircraft by accident.

Extensive real-world experience has proven it to be durable, reliable, and economical in all sorts of conditions, all over the world. The RV-12 is a rare bird: a light-sport aircraft designed, manufactured, and assembled in America.
