Preserving the History, Promoting the Legacy

They were called WASP - Women Airforce Service Pilots - and they were part of a historic experiment. During World War II, more than 1,100 volunteers left behind homes, jobs, and schooling to become the first American women to earn their silver wings and fly military aircraft. With this package, you can immerse yourself in the rich history of these trailblazing female aviators.

You and a guest will get a private tour of the National WASP WWII Museum located on Avenger Field - the hallowed ground where most WASP trained during World War II - in Sweetwater, Texas, and its archives where the stories about these incredible women come to life.

During your visit, you'll also be able to take a flight in a BT-13 or UC-78, (dependent on when you arrive) and trip to the Wishing Well, which became the focus of a pilot training tradition for the women. Then cap off your day with a sunset dinner in a hangar on the grounds.

One night stay at local luxury B&B included.
