The Talking Information Center (TIC) is celebrating over 44 years of providing reading services for the blind and low vision community. With the help of over 200 volunteers, TIC broadcasts over 322 publications over our radio station each week so those living with low vision have access to the printed word. TIC provides a necessary service, not simply a "nice to have" service, as our programming provides listeners access to the same information sighted individuals have, which allows our listeners to live informed and autonomous lives.

TIC's programming also combats isolation by providing human-voiced broadcasts of publications. Isolation has been classified as one of the largest health risks in the world, especially for seniors over the age of 65. The need for our programming became more evident than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic as we saw our listenership triple as listeners looked for a way to combat loneliness.

Thank you for supporting the Talking Information Center so we can continue to provide this vital service for another 44 years!

Meet your host, WBZ's Jordan Rich!

Jordan Rich is celebrating a quarter century at one of America's top legacy radio stations, WBZ 1030. In 1996 he joined the WBZ staff, where he succeeded the late Norm Nathan, one of his radio heroes and mentors. He hosted "The Jordan Rich Show," on weekend late-nights for twenty-one years interviewing thousands of celebrities, authors, actors and interesting personalities and developing a loyal following across the USA and Canada.

Jordan is currently the host/producer for the daily feature "Connoisseur's Corner" with the latest news about restaurants, food trends, cooking, wine and more. He is host/producer of "The WBZ New England Weekend," six prime-time segments promoting cultural events in the area. Jordan is also WBZ's official book reviewer, offering up four fresh reviews per week, plus new podcast features "Now Streaming with Jordan" and "The Upside with Jordan," highlighting positive stories in the news.

Prior to WBZ, Jordan was the morning drive host for WSSH-FM in Boston from 1982 to 1996. He began his professional broadcast career at WRKO-am 680 beginning in 1978, first as weather reporter, then co-host of the morning show and host of his own Broadway and American Standards program called "Music Sunday."

In addition to working live on-air for over forty years, Jordan is also been co-owner of Chart Productions Inc, a highly respected audio production agency.  His voice is heard on hundreds of narrations and commercials throughout the country.  He also teaches  voice-over acting.  Jordan's main focus these days is in podcast creation and production.  He's proud of his own personal podcast, "On Mic with Jordan Rich," featuring conversations with the world's most creative people.  He also hosts many other podcasts for individuals and corporate organizations.

When not behind the microphone, Jordan Rich is one of the busiest emcees around, hosting charity events, conducting fundraisers and auctions and speaking to groups about radio, television, film and entertainment.  He is the proud Dad of two grown children and the very proud Papa of two awesome grandchildren.   He resides in Boston with his wife Roberta.

Enjoy a beautiful acoustic set during dinner by the incredible Vicky Lynch!

Vicky Lynch is a 27 year old singer/ performer/ entertainer from the South Shore of Massachusetts. Singing and loving the spotlight has always been a major part of her life right from the beginning, but growing up in small town Abington, in a place where sports were the main focus, doing music on a bigger scale didn't exactly seem like a feasible option. Fast forward to 2019 when an opportunity randomly came to perform at Club Cafe in Boston, and the rest is history!
With a heavy emphasis on vocals, she loves to put her own twist on all of the songs that you know and love! Her repertoire includes anything from the 60s to the current day radio hits (even 80s hair bands!) with a constant expansion of new songs.
Vicky performs her acoustic show all around the South Shore, and has just recently expanded her solo work to the city of Boston and beyond, as well as singing with her Boston-based band, Beach Nights.
You can often find her out frolicking in Plymouth, or chasing the music all around the city!
