Artist Statement: There have been times in my life where I have found myself with a sense of wanderlust. Feeling like I need to escape the perceived confines of my midwestern upbringing. Thinking that there was so much more out in the world than what I could find around me. As time went on, I found myself observing the beauty and character that has always surrounded me. I just had to look closer. The goal of my photography is to draw attention to the beauty that I see in Topeka, Kansas and the Midwest as a region. Too often my home is referred to as a "flyover" state. I hope that my work can help demonstrate that there is so much more to find if you just take the time to look.

Artist Statement: "DreamTeam" is a collaboration between a wife, who is a painter, and a husband, who is a photographer. Judith loves to paint highly saturated, elegant compositions, and Danny likes to photograph nature. Judith combined two of his photos and altered the colors to create this canvas. This is their love letter to the beauty of Kansas. It is also about how opposites not only attract, but can sometimes team up to create something greater than each could do on their own. Danny documented the adventure, and Judith "painted" a dream about it.
