Since May 2020, neighbors have relied on our weekly distributions of healthy food, such as fresh produce, milk, bread, and pantry staples. COVID has put a significant strain on households being able to pay all their bills. We assist dozens of clients every year with the Maryland Energy Assistance Application. However, if the client's power is already turned off, then it often takes weeks for those funds to be applied to their bill. To succeed in school, students need at least the essential supplies...backpacks, pencils, notebooks, calculators etc.
