Camp One Step's signature gala is an evening to celebrate our campers and our community. It includes a cocktail hour, auction, an elegant dinner, a live band (BeatMix Music's MIXTAPE), and features our campers throughout an entertaining program. We look forward to reuniting in-person at the Ritz-Carlton this year as well as providing an opportunity for guests to join us from home to stream the program!

Join us from home!! There will be a virtual program airing at 7pm. You will be able to hear directly from campers and camper parents, and you will enjoy seeing highlights from our programs this year! The virtual program is approximately 30 minutes.

RICHARD SCHWEBEL FAMILY AWARD

Camp One Step is proud to share a long and meaningful partnership with The Schwebel Family and The Jeffrey Schwebel Foundation, which has enthusiastically supported our mission to send children to camp for more than 20 years. The Jeffrey Schwebel Foundation was created in 2001 by Scott Schwebel and Monica Schwebel Orr, with the support of their family, to honor the memory of their brother Jeffrey, a childhood cancer survivor and former Camp One Step camper and counselor. Jeffrey first attended camp in 1979 at the age of twelve, where he was able to continue to pursue his love of sailing thanks to the camp's programs. Since it's inception, The Jeffrey Schwebel Foundation has generously donated more than a half million dollars to Camp One Step. Today, Scott, and his wife, Ali, manage the foundation. Jeffrey's father, Richard Schwebel, served as a distinguished Board Member for our organization. Following Dick's death in 2014, our organization created the Richard Schwebel Family Award to honor his life and this family's long-standing philanthropic association with Camp One Step.

Florence and Laurence Spungen Family Foundation.

The Florence and Laurence Spungen Family Foundation was established in 2006 by Florence Spungen, and reflects the individual and collective philanthropy of the founders, their children and their grandchildren. Their mission is to improve the quality of life of individuals and families facing health challenges, and to address issues that particularly affect the Jewish community. The Florence and Laurence Spungen Family Foundation has been supporting Camp One Step since 2007, awarding more than $125,000 to help advance a number of key organizational programs and initiatives, including Summer Camp camper sponsorships, the 2020 Family Assistance Fund, and our Technology Fund. The Foundation also helped support the construction of the Soderquist Lodge located at Conference Point Center, with a bedroom named in honor of the Florence and Laurence Spungen Family Foundation in 2018.

Parking and Hotel Information

The room block at the Ritz-Carlton is now closed.

Valet Parking is available the evening of the gala for $38. Overnight parking is $79 per car per night.

At 7:00 PM, you will be able to stream a 30 minute virtual gala program where you will hear directly from campers, camper parents, and volunteers.

Point Reyes Farmstead has curated two custom charcuterie gift packs that can be delivered to your home, and Point Reyes Farmstead will be donating 30% of each sale back to Camp One Step.
