For every dog that comes into our shelter or is moved around the staff use slip leads.

Our Animal Care Attendants are caring for so many dogs, slip lead leashes make it easier for them to walk each dog to and from their play yards during daily rotations. Taking dogs to the cars once they are reunited.

This is an every day items that gets used all the time but we also go through them very fast.

At LAPS we are always moving large amounts of items around, one of the ways we do this is by our Utility Cart that has unfortunate seen better days.

We are hoping to by a new one as the one we have is about to break.

Pictures are a main part of our every day life here at LAPS, we are taking pictures of every animals that walks through our door.

One of the best ways to get good pictures so we can truly show what an animal looks like/colour of fur is by good lighting.

We are hoping to be able to purchase a light or 2 so we can show everyone the beautiful animals that are at the shelter.

We go through A LOT of toys. One brand all the dogs seem to love is Tuffy. These toys come in a variety of shapes and sizes and are durable enough to withstand a lot of use.

Often, we use blankets and walls around our shelter to create make-do photoshoot spaces. A white backdrop will go miles in helping us give animals their second chance by truly highlighting just how special they are for our LAPS community.

With kitten season in full swing our kettle is always going as we are making and warming up formula to feed them all.

We are always scrambling to find our kettle from our staff kitchen so we would like to dedicate a kettle specifically for the ISOasis building.

As the Doghouse reopens after its closure due to Covid we are in need of some supplies.

The Kuranda Bed is ideal for dogs that come for a stay at our Doghouse. Dogs are kept cool in summer months because of air circulation underneath the bed and are lifted up off cold hard floors in the winter.

Inmates are given the opportunity to participate in an employment training program where they learn industry skill such as how to handle, train and groom dogs.

This item is critical to helping detect ringworm during kitten intake. We check for ringworm on all cats that enter our facility to make sure we are treating any sick animals immediately. Without this light we have the potential to spread a very contagious fungus throughout the shelter.

In purchasing a light for us you are helping us to detect ringworm early.

Being at a shelter can be a stressful experience for some animals, especially cats.

To create the most calm and relaxing environment possible, we use Feliway diffusers to reduce anxiety for the cats in our care.

Puzzle feeders are used to slow down enthusiastic eaters and pose a fun challenge for the dogs during their time at the shelter.

Being at the shelter or Doghouse can be stressful for dogs, one way for us to calm them is to use Adaptil spray or a collar.

Purchasing this items from our wish list will help us calm and comfort the dogs in our care.

We are in need of Pet Playpens for our many kittens and small dogs.

These pens give our animals the chance to play and interact with shelter staff in a safely contained environment. We also use them in the event we have a sick or injured animal who needs close monitoring.

Every dog deserves to enjoy some time outside that is even for our dangerous dogs. Help us make it easier to move the dogs from their kennel to the outside play yard.

Having this barricade will make it an easier transition for the dogs to move back and forth and cause less stress for them in an already stressful situation.

Lick mats are a great way to entertain the dogs and to promote calm behaviour when at the shelter or Doghouse.

We use these for most dogs in our care with their favorite treat on it!

This shade sail would help with providing shade to the dogs at the Doghouse when they visit. We are always looking at ways to help improve the stay for all the animals.

This might not seem like a fancy item but it would be a daily item that is used throughout the shelter!

We are continuously going back and forth with our cart that is broken (we've taped it together). This cart would help the staff with so many tasks that they do daily.

Each year we do multiple events and we always bring animals to adopt. This Outdoor Cat House would be an a great way to bring some of our adoptable cats as we struggle to have a safe place for them to enjoy.
