Montoya has lectured at the Museum of Fine Art in Santa Fe, the Albuquerque Museum, The Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, and the Wight Gallery at the University of California in Los Angeles. She is a recipient of the Richard T. Castro Distinguished Visiting Professorship. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States including New Mexico, Texas, New York, California as well as internationally in France, and Mexico. Ms. Montoya's work also resides in the Smithsonian Collections.
For artist Delilah Montoya, transforming the past is a communal act in which revered symbols and their mystical and spiritual qualities are reborn in photographic representation. A Chicana artist, Montoya's own personal quest in image-making is the discovery and articulation of Chicano culture, and the icons which elucidate the dense history of New Mexico.

Drawing depicts the return of the Spaniards to attack Tenochtitlan, Spanish Brigantines. The Spanish small warships on the right have been replaced by Lowrider cars as a reference to the Mestizo hybrid culture that would emerge 500 years later.
This series by Daniel Salazar is currently on view at Museo's Malinalli on the Rocks exhibit.
Daniel Salazar is one of the quintessential artists of the Chicanx and Latinx art scene in Denver. Along with his wife, Maruca Salazar, Daniel has been at the forefront of Chicanx arts for decades.
He has been exhibited by the DAM and El Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. He directs the XicanIndieFilmFest for El Centro Su Teatro in Denver, and is founder and CEO of Razalas Studios.

His artistic vision was inspired by the Chicano civil rights movement of the 1960's that endeavored to achieve Mexican American empowerment. He continues highlighting important issues of the community while maintaining his cultural roots.
He has been exhibited in more than 30 cities in the US and 10 countries abroad. Particularly at the Smithsonian Institute, the Denver Art Museum, the Museum of Outdoor Arts, History Colorado, the Denver Center for Visual Arts, among many others!

Regina Silveira (b.1939) was born in Porto Alegre, Brazil and lives in São Paulo. Throughout more than four decades, Silveira, a critical figure in Brazilian conceptual art, has investigated the tension between movement and spatial perspective, threading political meaning into installations that respond to specific sites.
She is part of the collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMa) in New York, she has received grants from the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation (1990), she has been part of over 11 Biennials and has been exhibited all over the Americas and abroad.

This cyanotype was installed at Museo as part of the exhibit Liminal Space, 2018-2019. A cyanotype is made by exposing photoreactive paper to the sun.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Alejandra Abad is an interdisciplinary visual artist with a penchant for dense, fantastical landscapes and whimsical storytelling inspired by music, myth, and folklore. She frequently transforms her playful drawings, paintings, and prints into abstract animated films.
Alejandra has been exhibited at the Denver Art Museum, the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, The Canvas in Manhattan, among others.
