Talavera is Majolica pottery (tin-enameled earthenware) only made in Puebla, Mexico, and its nearby communities of Atlixco, Cholula and Tecali. It is made from a mixture of two clays, is formed on a potter's wheel, and has gone through two firings in an oven that is at least 800 degrees Celsius. You will find that they reflect the unique workmanship of potters that use six color pigments and their combinations to create these beautiful art pieces that are signed by the artisan.

Large Jar with Lid (approx. 3 ft. tall / 56 in. circ.)
