Payment + Sale Conditions, Mobile Bidding
All sales are final, and there will be no exchanges or refunds. We do not replace lost certificates. Please do not ask the donors for exchanges, substitutions or refunds, unless indicated. If your purchase is in the form of a gift certificate, please review the conditions as soon as possible for restrictions and expiration dates. IF YOU ADD AN ITEM TO YOUR CART, YOU HAVE PURCHASED THE ITEM IN FULL.
Mobile bidding requires a credit card to be entered to secure auction purchases. When using your credit card for payment, a 3.5% service fee will be automatically applied for Visa, MC and Discover, and a 3.95% service fee for Am/Ex. Payments are made via the GiveSmart online bidding website. Receipt of sale will be given for all purchases. Payment in full is expected at the close of the auction. If you leave the event without checking out, you will be automatically charged via the credit card in your account. Values set forth in the silent auction are a good-faith estimate of the fair market value that the donor has assigned the item. Charitable donations are limited to excess of the amount paid over the value of the item.
Silent Auction, Class, Parent + Teacher Parties
The auction listings may open up to a week in advance of the auction event. However, some of these items may not be posted online by the opening date. The committee has the right to add auction items as they are received. All silent auction bidding and party purchases will take place online. The committee has the right to extend online bidding, if necessary, the night of the event as needed.
Silent auction and parties are tentatively scheduled to close the night of the event at 7:30pm.
St. Augustin Home + School Association is a nonprofit organization. While donations to the association are tax deductible, the purchase of items of value are not fully tax deductible. The amount paid for an item in excess of its fair market value may be considered a tax-deductible contribution. Please retain your receipts and consult your tax advisor.
After the Auction Event - Item Pick Up
All auction purchases, besides sponsorships, underwriting, cocktail glass, vote and raffle items, will be available in your child's folder the week following the auction event. For larger items, items including alcohol and wine, or for purchases from donors who do not have a child in our school, items will be available for pickup in the school office during normal business hours the week following the auction.
