I feel it is important to do your best to have a positive influence on the lives of as many people as you can. We have this opportunity every time we have an encounter with someone else.
Other times, we may feel the need to do a little extra, something more involved than just a smile or a kind word.
Ronald McDonald House offers the opportunity to provide help when help is needed. Having a sick child (or being a sick child) to not have the love and support of your family near, I can't imagine, and hope I never have to experience that, but when the need is there, Ronald McDonald House is there to allow families to be close, to show that love, and be there to try and make it better.
I have been blessed to volunteer with Ronald McDonald House through a number of different ways. Before my wife and I moved to Minnesota and then Korea, we were very involved. To name a few, I was part of the Ambassador Council, helped at Night at the Races, events at the Aquarium, organized meals at the house, and participated in Tackle the Tower way too many times!
We are now back, and we are looking forward to continuing to contribute to this great organization, to continue to provide support through volunteering, and finding a way to have a positive impact on the lives of others.
