The Dandelion Class is offering an inspiring Family Adventure Pack that will entice you to get active and enjoy the outdoors!
The first part of this package features a Ms. Annie-made Family Hiking Guide, filled with insider info on local 1-2 day hikes; a hand-crafted working clock, created by Lucas and his mom and dad (from a fallen tree from their backyard!); a Georgia State Park Pass - good for a whole year; and, to make sure the littlest hikers are included, a Deuter Lite Kid Comfort infant/toddler carrier!
But wait - that's not all!
We will also bring the outdoors to you with a fabulous piece of sculptural decor made from natural materials. The centerpiece of this package is a breathtaking original piece (6 feet X 2 ½ feet) - entitled "Sticking Together" - designed and hand-crafted by Dandelion dad Basilio Gaytan. This amazing piece of original art is suitable for use as a statement item on the wall of your home or for adding visual interest to your garden (or even as a trellis!).

WSA parent Nick Stinson will design an unforgettable four-course meal for your group, which you can schedule for any Wednesday or Thursday of your choosing. During your meal, admire the beautiful napkins (painstakingly dyed with all natural materials), the hand-forged serving spoon, and the charming felted flowers and hand-rolled candles, prepared with love by Ms. Keeney and the children. At the end of the evening, they're yours to keep!
Ms. Knight's Snapdragon Class presents a whimsical gnome village that you and your children will adore. This beautiful village sits on a handbuilt 3'x3' wooden table with a felted-top playmat. The scene is completed with handmade felted flowers and foam-clay mushroom forest, and foraged all-natural accents collected by our Snapdragon children. Perfect for hours of imaginative play!

A silk stream winds across a gorgeous wet-felted base, enhanced by intricate needle-felted streambanks, boulders, moss, tree stumps, and meadows. Children will love the handcrafted animals, mushrooms, and gnome, which can be safely stored in a zipper pocket on the back. A rare and beautiful treasure!
Grade 1 students and parents came together to create woodland elements for two abstract landscapes, offered together as a diptych entitled "We See A World". Each 20"x16" piece features hand-cut and painted leaves and flowers sourced from our native landscape, laid on backgrounds painted by students. Pieces are framed and ready to hang!
This class offering is all about the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees! Grade 2 wants to help beautify your yard or garden and support native wildlife. The package features a dogwood tree, oak leaf hydrangea, about 35 hand-painted seed packets with seeds, bird feeder, birdhouse, hummingbird feeder, soil, mulch, compost...with labor included to install everything! Also included is a beautifully colorful, professionally printed poster of 22 Native Birds of Georgia - all hand-drawn by all 22 second-graders!
This is a collage made of 18 paintings created by the grade 3 class. The shapes are largely cut around the movement of their brushstrokes. They were given a palette of 10 colors to work from. Some of them mixed new colors from those, some used the colors I gave them. Have you ever heard of the 9-year change? At this age, children are actualizing their individuality. Social dynamics get dicey, but they're each changing at their own pace. This piece is about that. Pulling themselves out of the amorphous group into individual personalities, shapes, colors, directions?

Also included is a collection of original books, lovingly hand-written and illustrated by the students of Grade 4.
The students of Grade 5 individually carved original-art block prints, inspired by their Ancient Civilization block, to create a beautiful, wood-framed wall art collage (approximately 22 x 30 inches) of 19 original prints, made by each of the students in Grade 5. Limited individual calendars will also be available for purchase, showcasing the colorful and unique student-created prints made on a traditional printmaking press.
Get your game on with this up-cycled Game Table, featuring a beautiful birch top and wrought-iron base! Inspired by their love of games, Grade 6 hopes you will find endless hours of fun and opportunities to connect with family and friends at your upcoming "We Got Game" nights! Reflecting the diverse cultures represented in Grade 7, eleven families will create eleven separate meals (each feeds six!), specific to their own cultures and traditions, to be delivered at school for the winning bidders, on eleven consecutive Mondays. That's more than two months of weekly meals--made with collective memories and lots of love. And, as a reminder of what's to come, Grade 7 also offers a Global Culinary Basket, filled with goodies from around the world! Meals will be delivered to the winning bidders during Fall Term 2022-23.
