Barbara Maslen Platter
$225Barbara Maslen has been a member of The Retreat's All Against Abuse family for more than a decade. The 10" x 14" platter she created for 2022 is a playful, tropical underwater scene complete with colorful clownfish.
Maslen, a Sag Harbor-based painter, has been a professional working artist since her graduation from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1977. Working first in NYC as a freelance illustrator in advertising and editorial print media, she then expanded her work to create large-scale murals for both residential and commercial site-specific commissions.
Her public art installations embrace the concept of bringing big, bright, positive imagery to otherwise neglected public places. Collaborating with The Retreat, with a shared vision, Barbara has contributed a large painting for the administrative building's reception area and two large murals of idyllic environments for The Retreat's Stephanie House residential shelter.

Jane Martin is an award-winning multi-media artist creating in the mediums of photography, painting, video, and filmmaking. She is represented in museum, corporate and private collections worldwide, including The Parrish Art Museum, Islip Art Museum, and Guild Hall Museum.
Forces of nature have been an enduring theme in her work: water, fog, tornados, and the female form. Obsessed with nature's power she is drawn to its diverse qualities: its awe-inspiring force, its sensual and feminine nature, and its depth and mystery. Water in particular is shown to be furiously puissant or deceptively calm - it flows, gushes, crashes, laps, and comes to a perfect reflective stillness. Mutable yet constant, she is attracted to its power and sensuality in her search for all-consuming primordial images.

Denise Silva Dennis Platter
$125Denise Silva Dennis, artist and educator, joins The Retreat for the first time as a plate artist, using the 10" x 14" ceramic platter to depict Ma's House, BIPOC Artits' studio.
Ma's House, located on the Shinnecock Indian Reservation, was founded in 2020 by Dennis' son and fellow artist Jeremy Dennis.
Her platter depicts a spring day on the Shinnecock Nation with oak trees and dandelions for the bees surrounding the iconic Ma's House, once the residence of the late Loretta and Peter Silva, Sr., and their six children. The image is partially framed by wisteria, planted decades ago by David and Carol Silva, Denise's late brother and sister-in-law, also deceased. The bottom right is a conch, jingle, and slipper shell Mandela, with reeds collected from the seashore and created by resident artist Pamella Allen. Look closely for the Shinnecock sugar kelp farmer painting on the side of the shed above the Mandela by Ma's House artist-in-residence Jacoub Reyes.

Albinson has built a reputation for capturing the skies over the East End of Long Island. His paintings are sought after by collectors. In "Sag Harbor Bridge," he uses the Bridge as the foundation of the painting to hold up the sky and ground it at the same time. The composition gives the viewer the same feeling when standing on Sag Harbor's famed waterfront.
"Sag Harbor Bridge" was painted on a beautiful warm spring morning in 2012. Some of the stores have changed, and people have come and gone, but the essence of Sag Harbor captured here will never change.
James Daga Albinson is plein air landscape painter, capturing the beauty of Long Island. He studied at the School of Visual Arts and received his BFA from Long Island University at Southampton. He continued his studies at the Long Island Academy of Fine Art where he was introduced to the principles and practices of Classical Alelier training. He brought those principles to the Stevenson Academy of Fine Art where he became Attila Hejja's apprentice, developed and refined his teaching skills, and became the lead instructor and art director. Albinson was co-owner of the Long Island Academy of Fine Art and established the Hamptons Studio of Fine Art to be closer to his family and the community he loves.
Albinson has been represented by Peter Marcelle at the Hampton Road Gallery and Laura Grenning at the Grenning Gallery.

Licciardello is an award-winning artist, designer, composer, and filmmaker and has worked with brands such as National Geographic, Vogue, French Connection, BELLA Magazine, and Bloomingdales over the span of her career. Her artwork has been collected in 15 countries, select pieces are represented at Loves Gallery, Southampton. She serves as the Ellen Hermanson Foundation Creative Director.
Her art film, "8 Minutes to Freedom," was recently featured in Forbes, and explores the journey of the artist's healing journey after escaping abuse. She tells her story through her work in the hope of inspiring others to have the courage to make the decision to save their life. It has screened in cities internationally and is dedicated to those who have had the courage to break the silence and speak about domestic abuse. Those stories and wisdom empowered her to leave.

Mae Mougin Platter
$125Mae Mougin has participated in All Against Abuse since 2005 but this is the first year that she has painted one of The Retreat's 10" x 14" ceramic platters for a truly unique creation.
Mougin started her journey with ceramics in high school. After graduation from The San Francisco Art Institute, she started working with fashion photographers as a stylist and muse in Los Angeles and New York. Rediscovering clay and porcelain at Parsons School of Design gave her a new voice of creativity. Her custom-designed collection reflects her fascination with fashion, travel, and art. Inspiration comes from her unique view of the world-the overlooked objects of the every day, found while traveling and in the natural world. Her unique pieces are playful and functional. Mae Mougin Porcelain can be found in the homes of celebrities, artists, trendsetters, and select retail stores. Most Mae Mougin Porcelain pieces are by commission. Each piece is made with love and becomes a family collectible.

Scott Bluedorn Platter

Artist, illustrator and designer Bluedorn works in various media, including painting, drawing, print process, collage, and found object assemblage. He draws inspiration from cultural anthropology, primitivism, and nautical tradition, Bluedorn distills imagery that speaks to the collective unconscious, especially through myth and visual storytelling.
