Gaze upon a natural phenomenon that occurs only two weeks out of the year in Yosemite National Park. There are three conditions that must be present for the firefalls to occur: The sun has to be at or near a 21 degree angle to the earth. There has to be enough recent rainfall and/or snowmelt to create the Horsetail Falls waterfall, and there must not be any clouds over the sun to block its rays. The glow of the setting sun reflects on the water, giving the appearance of flowing lava. Complementing this photograph is a hand hewn sugar pine frame harvested from Tuolumne County. This print is a 14 x 24-inch.
