Welcome to the 2022 Richie Nelson Celebration of Life Golf Outing and Dinner Party. Fifteen years and still going strong! To many of you, we are grateful for your ongoing support. To others, we are thrilled you are experiencing this remarkable event for the first time.
We hope that you enjoy the day and be reminded that we are blessed to have this opportunity to help others that are less fortunate and to remember our dear friend, son, and brother, Richie.
Due to your support throughout the years, we have provided a vast array of benefits to the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald Houses. All are noteworthy, but here are a few: we have donated a playground, a library, and a video wall.
This year we are building on the donations from the last few years to select a naming opportunity at the new eight-story facility on Chestnut Street in Philadelphia.
The new expansion added 104 bedrooms to the Chestnut Street House which more than doubled the capacity to house, feed, and nurture families with seriously ill children.
This expansion enables the House to grow from serving approximately 800 families each year to an estimated 1,900 families and increasing the available room nights from 16,000 to more than 40,000 per year.
All of the support we provide to the House, the fellowship, fun, and love we experience each year is due to the beautiful friendships we share and the memory of a remarkable man, Richie Nelson.
