When our kindergarteners first saw and touched the quilt squares they made come together into this one great big beautiful piece, they exclaimed, It's the softest pillow ever!" A true labor of love, this hand-stitched (yes, hand-stitched!) masterpiece features kid-created, Eric Carle-inspired textured collages and colorful prints and shapes in the cuddliest fabrics. It's a one-of-a-kind heirloom your kids can pass down to their own kindergartener one day.

Our kindergarteners took the beauty and rich hues of Eric Carle's iconic The Very Quiet Cricket (which they'll be performing on April 7) and translated it into bright, funky resin art with each child's name incorporated in beads. An LCDS tradition, our Poetry Coffeehouse is a unique experience where each eighth grader composes and delivers a poem aloud to our community.

These poems have now been published in a beautiful book that also includes a portrait of each eighth grader taken on our campus. This keepsake is a wonderful memento of the Class of 2022's LCDS experience.
