Bitch Creek with TU Women
Live ItemThe ladies' angling adventure of a lifetime!
Annie and Jon Fenn have generously donated this opportunity for four lucky anglers - special wade access on Bitch Creek in Victor, Idaho with four ladies of TU: Kathleen Doffermyre, Beverly Smith, Maggie Heumann, and Leslie Steen.
Kathleen and Beverly have both been fly fishing since they were little girls and fishing together for over a decade, now often with little aspiring anglers of their own in tow. Leslie Steen has a masters degree in fisheries and is great at catching trout with electricity and other field methods. For Maggie, an early love of fly fishing led her to pursue a degree in Entomology and Poultry Science from Auburn University - making her somewhat of a bug and hackle expert - then a Master's Degree in Entomology from the University of Nebraska. She now manages Orvis Jackson Hole and does entomology-related outreach in the community. These ladies have a passion for introducing new and diverse audiences to fly fishing and sharing their love for the wild and beautiful places that trout live, like Bitch Creek. Guests will also be treated to four hats from Art for All by Abby Paffrath.
Bitch Creek is a tributary of the Teton River that flows out of the Teton mountain range in Wyoming and into Idaho. This stretch of water is beautiful and rugged, with wild trout that are virtually undisturbed and plentiful. Whether you're a beginner seeking one-on-one instruction or an experienced angler interested in a unique opportunity to fish unpressured water, this is a special trip you won't want to miss.
Winner should arrange their trip with Leslie Steen in late August or September by emailing leslie.steen@tu.org.

Las Pampas 1 Week, 2 Anglers
Live Item2 anglers, 7 nights, 6 fishing days - for the adventure of a lifetime anytime between November 1 through April 30, 2022-2023 season.
Las Pampas Lodge (LPL), in the Chubut Provence of Central Patagonia, offers an extraordinary experience into a land that's virtually untouched by the modern world. Approximately two and half hours south of Esquel Airport, well beyond where the pavement ends, you'll find Las Pampas Lodge. This is where the real experience begins.
A short drive from the lodge is a small border town that's almost as quiet as the wilderness that surrounds it, and the calming yet wild and rustic terrain is still home to a simple way of living. Gauchos herding their sheep are likely the only thing one may stumble upon along the way to fish remote lakes, rivers, and streams.
Las Pampas' European-style log and stone lodge looks out at the Andes Mountains and is entirely surrounded by nature, reminding our guests that they are truly in the heart of Patagonia.
Throughout the property, it is nearly impossible to not be taken by a view of the Andes. At the lodge, guests find spacious double occupancy rooms with private baths. They also can enjoy the large common room that features a dining area, bar, and lounge with a fireplace that brings everyone together over cocktails. And upstairs, our guests will find a living room, a TV, and a fully-equipped fly tying table, as well as a private office with a computer and phone.
However, one of the first things Las Pampas guests notice isn't the out-of-place luxuries we offer but rather the atmosphere. Our entire team works together to ensure a relaxed environment where everyone feels welcomed.
GOURMET FARM-TO-TABLE CUISINE
Las Pampas is passionate about the food they serve. Head chef, a Le Cordon Bleu graduate, only uses local and organic ingredients. Fresh eggs are served daily, and the cuts of chicken, lamb, and beef they prepare come from the livestock on the property.
Breakfast is served at the lodge, and a gourmet lunch with wine is served on the water by our guides. As is typical in Argentina, dinner is served in the late evening, and with this meal, head chef delights guests with meat and vegetable entrees paired with fine wines.
Reservation required. Dependent upon availability.
