Peter Cochrane uses photography for its unique, flattening nature, to find new information and forms when translating three dimensions into two. Each project begins with extensive materials research to find the best medium for the idea-from the historical stories that embody every item in view to the narrative effects of light, color, and shadow. He is a recipient of the Snider Prize and has been a finalist for several awards including the Hopper Prize, the Fine Art Photography Award, the Exposure Award, and the Film Photo Award. He has held several solo exhibitions nationally, and his work is in public and private collections including the Museum of Contemporary Photography.

Senghor Reid explores the interactions between the human body and the environment, creating visual representations of dreams, memories and traces of human contact with nature. Reid earned a BFA from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI); a Masters of Teaching in Art Education from Wayne State University (Detroit, MI) and attended the internationally recognized Marathon Program at the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture (NY, NY). Originally from Durham, North Carolina, Austin "Auz" Miles is a practicing painter, designer, and public artist located in Richmond, VA. She uses color, texture, and distortion to embody her own stories, contributing to the conversation about Black female experiences. Miles is an alumna of Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts, receiving her Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2017. Her paintings are a glimpse into a realm where emotions are personified and become out-of-body experiences of connection. Through her work, Austin "Auz" Miles hosts visual conversations that ignite understanding and inspire community healing. In October 2021, Austin "Auz" Miles was the first recipient of the Director's Choice Award for her piece Water Dancers Part 1 at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, Made In VA exhibition. Miles has also exhibited work at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, The Contemporary Arts Network, Virginia Museum of History and Culture, Jamestown Settlement, The Hermitage Museum and Gardens, The Biggs Museum of American Art, and 1708 Gallery. Leigh Suggs was born in Boone, North Carolina and currently resides in Richmond, VA. Haseeb Ahmed (b. 1985, US) is a research-based artist living and working in Brussels, Belgium and draws on diverse disciplines to make drawings, sculptures, and installations. Born in Ferrum, Virginia on June 21, 1935, Bernard Martin received his MFA at Hunter College in 1962 , and his BFA at RPI (pre-VCU) in 1959. He passed away Christmas Eve, 2021. He was professor emeritus of art at Virginia Commonwealth University where he was the first chair of the Department of Painting and Printmaking from 1966 to 1992. Martin has had numerous solo exhibitions throughout it decades long career, including three separate traveling exhibitions with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Since 1965, Martin has exhibited in over 200 national and international group exhibitions. He has been the recipient of two Fellowships with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and a National Endowment for the Arts Visual Arts Fellowship, and the Pollak Lifetime Achievement Award. Martin's work is part of several public collections including -The Smithsonian National Collection of Art, Washington, D.C., the Chrysler Museum, Norfolk, VA, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Richmond, VA. Martin created two novel covers of esteemed writer Tom Robbins and is part of many private collections.

Hamilton Glass is an artist native to Philadelphia, PA and currently based out of Richmond, VA. Growing up in Philadelphia allowed Hamilton to experience different cultures and art. An experienced mural painter, she has worked on walls across the country, Most recently in Birmingham, AL and Memphis, TN. Nico has been shown at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, and the Hermitage Museum in Norfolk, as well as galleries across the continent. In 2020, Nico was honored as an Agent of Change for her use of activism in her art by the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, and was a recipient of the 1708 Gallery Space grant. Her work on climate change is currently on display in Beijing, China, as part of the US Embassy's show Art for the People, EARTH. Nico was featured in two mural festivals during this year's Art Basel in Miami, working with the A WALL Mural Festival, and collaborating with Few & Far Women for the Wynwood Mural Festival.
