This guitar was custom made exclusively for the Solebury auction by parent Joseph Notte. Lovingly hand-crafted from black walnut and maple with mother of pearl inlay, this acoustic/electric guitar features a uniquely placed sound hole, Fishman Preamp, and Gotoh tuner.

Numbered 55 in a series, this guitar bears the name "Carpe Diem" and is accompanied by a case, stand, and leather strap.

This is a unique opportunity for both musicians and those who appreciate fine craftsmanship.

The winner of this experience will be treated to an exclusive, special guided tour of Nakashima Studio, a National Historic Landmark, by Mira Nakashima '59. Also included in this package is a set of four(4), 4x4" American Black Walnut Coasters by George Nakashima Woodworkers.

Imagine having a personal concert in the comforts of your own home. Solebury School Film Department Head Brian Pearson and Cliff Cole are the members of Tachyometry (tack-ee-on-ma-tree). The duo will perform a one-hour house concert for you. Tachyometry is Brian and Cliff's vision of pushing the limits of the musical and spiritual realms towards an ever-changing landscape of harmony, melody, and lyrics. The sultry smooth sounds of the nylon string classical guitar complemented perfectly by the percussive, ethereal qualities of the hammered dulcimer.

Solebury's Teach2Serve Director and Teacher Diane Downs P'03 '08 '09 invites you for a day of kayaking on the Delaware. Diane will provide use of 2 kayaks, life vests, and water-proof bags, as well as drop off and pick up on the Delaware River on an agreed upon day this summer. She will provide basic kayak instruction for you and a guest. If you are kayaking solo; she will accompany you on the trip!
