Artist Statement:

As a teacher, I came to know students in teh LGBTQ+ school community, who, as teenagers, struggled to find themselves and their place in the world. In helping them, it was as much a learnng experience for me as for them. I learned of their many concerns, and sadly, for some, I was not a fast enough learner. For others, I was a part of their support system as they matured into adulthood and fou nd their places in society. Now, as a grandmother, I am able to support my grandchild in this life journey.
