This is a long, slightly triangular shawl knitted with fine superwash merino wool knit using a pattern called Breathe and Hope. Ths shawl is long and narrow makign it perfect for use as a scarf, as well as draping it over shoulders in a cool room.
Size:
16"x70"
Artist Note:
This shawl was started as a knit-a-long project during the pandemic using the pattern Breathe and Hope (designed by Casapinka). It took 3 starts before I found the perfect colors to work with the gently changing colors in some sections and the contrasting stripes in others. I am thrilled with the result, and I gladly pass this along to GSAFE for this year's auction. May the buyer remember to breathe, hope, and enJOY!
Gorgeous knit rainbow shawl. Lightweight, and oh so soft!
25"x52"
I donate this item in celebration of my children. Both came out to us in the 8th grade and we are so proud they felt safe and loved to be able to do this.
Handknit with merino wool yarn, this lovely and warm shawl evokes the colorplay of the sea and sky. This piece took 30+ hour to meticulously create. It's made form yarn by Malabrigo, a family-owned company from Uruguay that hand-dyes yarn with the softest, sustainably and ethically-sourced fibers that are a joy to wear. Handwash, lay flat to dry.
I am proud to support GSAFE's work and mission. This piece was handcrafted with love, and I hope it feels like a warm hug when you wear it.
