Utopias 2023 is the latest edition of Samuel Adams' biennial series of barrel-aged beers that started in 2001. It is one of the world's strongest beers, with an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 28%. Which is more than six times the average beer and even higher than some liquors. (This makes it illegal in 15 states!)

Utopias 2023 is unlike any other beer you have ever tasted. It is not carbonated, and has a ruby black color and a viscous texture. It is meant to be savored in small portions at room temperature, like a fine wine or spirit. There are complex and rich notes of caramel, vanilla, oak, chocolate, coffee, dried fruits, nuts, and spices, with a smooth and warming finish.
