Rogelio Del Valle, 89, is a Detroit area-based artist originally from the Bronx, New York. He began sketching at an early age. After high school, he attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn earning a degree in chemical engineering. Throughout his career as a chemical engineer, he continued to sketch and began working in oils in his 40s. Since then, he has created many paintings in a style he refers to as 'chaotic impressionism' focusing on landscapes and Western themes.
