Founded in 1854, the Philadelphia Cricket Club is the nation's oldest country club and is one of the four founding members of both the Golf Association of Philadelphia and the Women's Golf Association of Philadelphia. The original 18 holes, now a sprawling 9 hole course, is called St. Martins. Originally, the Cricket Club did not own the land on which they played golf. In 1920, the club purchased the land in Flourtown and A.W. Tillinghast designed a championship course, Wissahickon, that opened in 1922. In 2002, Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry designed the renowned Militia Hill course that now adds a second 18 holes to the Flourtown location. Being the only country club in the nation to open a golf course in each of the last three centuries, this threesome will be a historic experience.

Originally founded in 1910 in Jenkintown, Old York Road Country Club was a nine-hole design on land leased from Abington Friends. In 1963, with expansion of Abington Friends School, Old York relocated to its current location in Spring House. William and David Gordon designed the course on which 164 committed members were happy to relocate.

Founded in 1912, the 18-hole course that stands today was not built until six years later. Lulu Country Club, the first designed by Donald Ross in The Keystone State, opened in 1918. Orginally founded in 1918 as The Brinton Lake Club, this William Flynn-designed course opened in 1923 and officially became Concord Country Club in 1927. Purchased in 1945 by Wilimington Country Club and sold again in 1961, Concord has a rich history with five of the 18 holes being develped by Geoffrey Cornish when construction took place in 1974. In 2000 the club commissioned Ron Forse and Jim Nagle to do yet another redesign of the golf course to both restore it to its origins of William Flynn and modernize it. In 2010, PGA Tour Player Sean O'Hair set the course record shooting two consecutive 62s in the same day. This foursome will prove to be as unique as the architectural history of the course.

Spring Ford Country Club was established in 1924 by a small group of Royersford and Spring City community residents. The original 50 members retained J. Franklin Meehan to design the course and on May 8, 1925 at 1:30 PM, the original 53 members opened the 9-hole golf course. While the golf course has since been expanded to 18 holes, the history of the club remains rich. Spring Ford will celebrate its 100th Anniversary next year!
