A group of generous and highly-involved women tocontinue to ensure that the Red Cross has the ability to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to life's emergencies by making an annual contribution of $10,000 to their local Red Cross.
Members receive a Tiffany bracelet as well as a charm for each year they renew their commitment.
A $10,000 donation can cover the cost of deploying 5 Red Cross volunteers to a disaster relief operation. This includes travel, transportation, lodging, food and vital support and resources while they are away from home. The average length of a disaster deployment is 14 days!
A $5,000 donation could support 75 veterans living with wounds, illnesses, and/or injuries through caregiver assistance and services via our military and veteran caregiver network.
A $2,500 donation can provide 250 hot meals and additional snacks to community members after a disaster through our mobile feeding vehicle.
A $1,000 donation could provide food and shelter for a family of four for five days after being displaced by a crisis. This service includes providing breakfast, lunch and dinner, safe shelter, two blankets, and a personal hygiene kit as well as the costs of Red Cross workers to provide this support. Red Cross shelter managers take the necessary steps to make all residents comfortable in a shelter - this includes families with infants and children.
A $500 donation could provide in-depth testing, typing, and matching to identify 5 units of blood for a person living with sickle cell disease.
A $250 donation could cover 15 smoke alarm installations. This includes fire safety training and alarm installation. The Red Cross, through coalitions of community partners, installs smoke alarms and provides fire and disaster safety education in at-risk communities across the country.
A $135 donation can provide training for 8 Disaster Action Team (DAT) members, including training materials and instructor expenses. Red Cross Disaster Action Teams (DAT) respond every day in the community to support familiesimpacted by single family home fires.
A $50 donation could provide 1 wildfire kit for 1 person. These supplies are stored and ready for distribution locally. Each wildfire kit contains the basic supplies needed to search through the debris after a wildfire. The kit contains a sifter, shovel, rake, tote, dust mask, gloves, trash bags, hand wipes and sanitizer, eye drops and a tarp.
